Weaving Knowledge

Rhythms and Discoveries in Everyday Life

1
Yoga and Meditation

At Arte de Ser, Hatha Yoga is an essential practice that combines body-awareness movements and breathing exercises. This combination helps children develop concentration, willpower, and expand their own limits, awakening self-assurance, balance, confidence, courage, and self-esteem.
Meditation is introduced gradually and in an age-appropriate way, as a true "development of inner silence." Through stories, songs, and playfulness, educators transform each practice into an experience of joy, presence, and connection.

Free Play

Playing is valued as an essential way to experience the world and grow joyfully. In "inner play," imagination and fantasy guide interactions with structured and unstructured elements, while in "outer play," the body moves freely, strengthening self-confidence, self-mastery, and well-being. There is nothing more delightful than running, jumping, and exploring the movement of a body that engages with the world with curiosity!

Healthy Eating

At school, meals are carefully planned by a specialized nutritionist to be healthy, nutritious, and full of flavor. Every week, children live the enchantment of the bread ritual: kneading dough, shaping, mixing ingredients, and decorating, while learning to wait for the timing of things as they listen to stories. At the end of the day, they take the warm bread home, celebrating as they share with their families.

2
Gardening and Horticulture

Gardening and vegetable garden activities bring children closer to Nature and awaken care, respect, and love for Mother Earth. Through planting, watering, caring, feeding animals, and singing harvest songs, they learn to perceive the natural cycles and to feel they belong to the world they live in.
In addition to vegetables, spices and teas, they also harvest fruits and herbs to play and create with, turning the experience into something playful and sensory. This practice encourages calmness, relaxation, and a deep connection with Nature's rhythm.

Art and Music

Every morning, children gather in a rhythmic circle with songs and messages about Nature, learning to connect its cycles to their own lives. Playfulness permeates the school routine: they paint with natural colors, listen to and tell stories, perform with puppets, and invent new games.
Music is a constant presence, awakening enchantment, strengthening positive feelings, and nurturing trust. The little ones play instruments, dance, sing, and even create their own compositions, exploring the world joyfully and creatively.

Heroes of Truth

Developed by the Yoga & Education for Peace Institute, the project presents the lives of great masters of humanity who, by overcoming challenges, left a legacy of universal values and hope. As beacons of truth, they inspire children and adults to follow paths of altruism and humanity, offering examples of transformation through nonviolence – such as Gandhi, who freed his nation with the power of love and was the great master of Nonviolence.
